Solver Group is summing up the results of the project on production modernization at “Peterburgsky Traktorny Zavod” (PTZ) PJSC.
The project was aimed at the creation of the first Russian modern resource center on design and production of automated transmissions for agricultural, road construction and municipal equipment at PTZ. An increase in the output of advanced automated transmissions for special-purpose machinery will boost its competitiveness and will offer PTZ the possibility to enter the new global markets, considerably expanding the sales geography of domestic engineering products. The project implementation was supported by the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and Industrial Development Fund. Cumulative investment in the project has amounted to about 4 billion rubles; the payoff period will not exceed five years.
The established production capacities of automated transmissions were designed to produce 6500 units per year on the round-the-clock basis. 55 application engineers and 5 service engineers of Solver Group were involved in the project implementation. During its execution 112 of the equipment with production flows per 270 items and with production logistics per 500 items were implemented, comprehensive preproduction activity was carried out along with the development of engineering processes for 270 parts, design of 500 units of machining accessories and 500 units of inspection accessories. 60 specialists of PTZ were trained in RAPM of Solver Group and another 50 are to be trained later. All works on the project – from the moment of contracting till complete turnkey implementation – were performed in two years. It is a record time for the project of this scale.
The invested efforts were highly commended by Denis Manturov, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, who recently visited “Peterburgsky Traktorny Zavod”. He examined the center of transmissions production, welding plant, and the main tractor conveyor.

“Peterburgsky Traktorny Zavod” PJSC is one of the oldest machine-building enterprises in Russia. The trademark "Kirovets” is the main brand of PTZ. July of 2017 has marked the 55th anniversary from the production date of the first mass-produced “Kirovets” tractor.
